2014 Digital Room
A new feature of the St. Louis conference is a Digital Room for SAA members to demonstrate their digital projects on Shakespeare and early modern literature and culture.
The SAA will host this space alongside the regular conference program to allow our membership to learn how the web and new media platforms are changing the way we interact with and think about Shakespeare.
On the first day of the conference, the SAA will provide meeting space, internet access, and power supplies to members interested in displaying projects that reflect any aspect of digital scholarship on Shakespeare. Projects may take any form (posters, demonstration stations, other displays) and can address such topics as text mining/analytics, development of smartphone apps, digital archives, and Shakespeare-centric websites, among many others.
The proposal process for the 2014 meeting closed on 1 February 2014, and the SAA has now finalized the roster of exhibitors for the Digital Room. All members and their guests in St. Louis are invited to tour the Digital Room, view the projects, and meet the authors on Thursday, 10 April from 12:00-1:30PM and 3:30-6:00PM.
