Member Benefits

SAA members are entitled to:

  • Attend the annual meeting.
  • Register for SAA seminars and workshops.
  • Vote in officer elections.
  • Propose panels, seminars, and workshops for upcoming meetings.
  • Apply to demonstrate projects among the SAA’s Digital Exhibits.
  • Receive discounts on books, journals, and databases.
  • Apply for the SAA/Huntington one-month residential fellowship at the Huntington Library.
  • Apply for the SAA/Folger one-month residential fellowship at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
  • Consult the SAA’s announcements, resources, and archives pages.
  • Browse and search the SAA’s Membership Directory.

Graduate-student members of the SAA are also entitled to:

  • Apply for travel grants to attend the annual meeting.
  • Compete for the J. Leeds Barroll Dissertation Prize.
  • Submit a paper for the NextGenPlen competition.
  • Attend the Graduate-Student Breakfast hosted by members of the SAA’s Board of Trustees.

SAA members in contingent positions are also entitled to:

  • Apply for travel grants to attend the annual meeting.
